How to Reach Alphitta

Located at 2222 metres above sea level in Riffelalp, Zermatt — 600 metres from Riffelalp station and just below the 5-star Riffelalp Resort.

Arrival by Train, Ski & Foot

Whether visiting during the winter ski season or on a summer alpine hike, there are several clearly marked ways to reach us:

Gornergrat Bahn (Cogwheel Train)

Train + Walk

From Zermatt, take the Gornergrat Bahn on a scenic 15-minute journey up to Riffelalp station. From the station, follow the path on a gentle 5-minute walk (approx. 600 metres) leading directly down to Alphitta, just below the 5-star Riffelalp Resort.

Ski Route (Winter Season)

Ski / Snowboard

From Zermatt, take the route via Furi up to Riffelberg. From Riffelberg, it is a scenic 5-minute ski descent on piste directly to Restaurant Alphitta in the Gornergrat ski area.

Hiking Trails (Year-Round & Summer)

Alpine Walk

Winter / Summer trail: Zermatt – Furi – Riffelalp.
Summer trail: Zermatt – Winkelmatten – Findelbach – Riffelalp.
Both trails lead through pine forests and mountain terrain up to the Riffelalp plateau.
